Jewelry With a Meaning, for The Hollywood Reporter ...

Writer's picture: Laurie BrookinsLaurie Brookins

For the February 8 issue of The Hollywood Reporter, I wanted to put together a selection of jewelry that extended beyond the idea of "just jewelry" for Valentine's Day, and instead included symbols and meanings that deepened the thought behind the gift. This included lockets, which are trending once again, as well as toi et moi rings, bracelets and rings connected to symbolize the connection between two people, and symbolic stones and motifs like opals, dubbed "Cupid's stone" by the Romans. If it's the thought that counts, these jewelry designs add considered layers to a traditional Valentine's Day gift.
